ReEstablish Richmond Multicultural Festival- June 8th, 2024
Tusome’s Teen Advisory Board represented Tusome Pamoja for the first time at ReEstablish Richmond’s annual cultural celebration. Our teen volunteers explained Tusome’s mission to attendees, handed out flyers, and led an activity promoting language-learning.
Tus0me Summer Session- June 17th through June 28th
Our tenth season of Tusome was a blast with a record-breaking 50 peer mentors and 38 students! During English tutoring sessions, students learned about renewable energy and states of matter. In Math, each student learned through personalized worksheets with their mentor. Two weeks of learning and laughter passed by quickly. Tusome is proud of each students’ progress and grateful for all the support we received this summer!
Maymont Field Trip- June 21st, 2024
​Students enjoyed exploring The Robins Nature Center and petting farm animals. For lunch, everyone had a great time eating pizza and playing games outside. This was a special morning for students and teen volunteers to bond, and profit from Richmond’s summer weather!
Cobblestone Water Park Field Trip- June 28th
Tusome Pamoja's experienced an eventful and fulfilling trip at the Cobblestone Waterpark this Friday. Volunteers and students unwinded from a hectic season to experience the winding waterslides and refreshing waters of Cobblestone Waterpark.
